Grief Services
Even if just for a single one-on-one session, working with a counselor can help you sort out your emotions and figure out the course you may want to follow on your grief journey. And while you may ultimately not need regular one-on-one counseling, you may find our other grief offerings, including support groups and workshops, helpful.
Yes. Our specially trained bereavement counselors can provide emotional support prior to a loved one’s death. After your loss, that same counselor will continue to offer you support, if needed.
Time-limited one-on-one counseling for families served by Gilchrist Hospice Care is offered at no charge. For our community clients, it is offered on a sliding scale. In addition, while some of our one-day events include a nominal fee, all of our support groups and most of our seminars are offered at no charge.
Volunteer Services
Volunteers are a crucial part of the Gilchrist team, providing an extra layer of support for our families. Whether by offering respite breaks for caregivers, providing companionship, running errands, or doing a multitude of other small tasks, our volunteers are dedicated to helping you and your family.
There are many ways you can make a difference and experience the rewards of volunteering with Gilchrist. Whether you prefer to work directly with those served by Gilchrist, assist with administrative work in the office or conduct outreach efforts in the community, we have a role for you. If you are interested in becoming a Gilchrist volunteer, please complete our volunteer application or call 1.888.823.8880 for more information.
