Child Life Services
Child life specialists are responsible for providing much-needed emotional support to children, their siblings, and their parents during a time of great stress. They also help develop family coping strategies. The role of child life specialists also includes designing fun activities to help children cope with stressful situations and reduce anxiety. Gilchrist has child life specialists with a background in child development, psychology and counseling who provide services for children that can help them better understand and cope with their grief, allowing them to work through the process in their own way.
